Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 23 August 2026
This practice is about bodies, and bodies vary. That applies to how people use a website as much as how they move. Here is what we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something does not work.
1. Our commitment
Marina Pozzi Wellness LLC is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or who have low vision, limited motor control, or cognitive differences.
Accessibility is not a box we tick once. We treat it as ongoing work, and reports from real users are the most useful input we get.
2. Standard we aim for
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This site is partially conformant: most of it meets the standard, and the areas where we are not certain are listed openly in section 4 below.
We have assessed the site through self-evaluation. It has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist.
3. What we have built in
- Semantic structure. Real headings in a logical order, landmark regions, and lists marked up as lists, so screen readers can navigate the page properly.
- Keyboard navigation. Every link, button, form field and expandable question can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
- Visible focus. A clear outline shows where you are on the page when tabbing through it.
- Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text. Purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers so they do not add noise.
- Colour contrast. Body text and headings were chosen to meet the AA contrast ratio against their backgrounds.
- Resizable text. The layout uses relative units, so the page reflows rather than breaking when you zoom to 200% or increase your default font size.
- Responsive layout. The site works on phones, tablets and desktops, in portrait and landscape.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site honours that setting and disables its animations and scrolling effects.
- Labelled forms. Every field in the contact form has a permanent visible label, not just placeholder text.
- Language options. The site can be read in English, Spanish and Italian, and the page language attribute updates when you switch.
- No autoplay audio. Nothing on the site plays sound or starts video by itself.
4. Known limitations
We would rather be honest than claim perfection.
- Typefaces load from Google Fonts. If that request is blocked or slow, the site falls back to system fonts. The layout still works, but it will look different.
- Photographs are decorative. Several images illustrate mood rather than carry information. Their alt text is brief by design, and a screen reader user is not missing content.
- No independent audit yet. Our assessment is internal. There may be issues we have not found.
- Language switching is manual. The site always opens in English and requires a click to change language. There is no automatic detection.
We are working on these. If any of them creates a real barrier for you, please tell us, because that moves it up the list.
5. Adjusting your browser
This site is built to work with the accessibility tools already on your device: zoom, browser text size, high contrast or dark mode at the operating system level, screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS, and reduced-motion settings. You should not need to install anything extra.
6. Physical access to sessions
Accessibility does not stop at the website. If you have questions about physical access to the studio, such as steps at the entrance, elevator availability, door widths, restrooms or parking, contact us before booking and we will describe exactly what to expect, honestly, so you can decide.
Where the studio is not suitable for you, in-home sessions across New York City are available and are often the better option.
7. Adapting sessions
Sessions themselves are adapted to the person, always. That includes working around limited mobility, chronic pain, fatigue, sensory sensitivity, neurodivergence, communication needs and anything else that affects how you want to be worked with.
If you would like a companion, carer or interpreter present, that is welcome. Tell us in advance so the space and the plan are ready.
8. Tell us what is not working
If you hit a barrier on this site, or need information from it in another format, write to pozzi.marina18@gmail.com.
It helps if you can include the page address, what you were trying to do, and what device, browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to reply within 5 business days and to explain what we can fix and when.
